El Diamante

Pear, Macadamia, Muscovado Sugar

El Diamante is the product of a unique microlot and offers a straightforward yet pleasing profile. The aroma hints at chocolate, while the flavor reveals notes of pear and macadamia, finishing with muscovado sugar. It features tartaric acidity, reminiscent of grapes, and comes with a beautifully balanced body. Notably, the Marshel variety, an unidentified mutation of Bourbon and Lizana, earned the Cup of Excellence in Peru in 2019.

El Diamante

About the farm
Finca “El Diamante” is located in the District of Lonya Grande, in the town of New York. Its name refers to Cerro Condorpuna, which in the summer season dawns radiant and bright. The farm has 2 hectares of coffee and is cultivated by Mirelly, the last daughter of a family that has been exclusively dedicated to growing coffee for many years.

The process
Selective harvest, pulped the same day of harvest, 30-hour fermentation, drying in solar dryers for approximately 16 days.
Smallholder coop created by young growers
Norcafé Peru is an organisation of small producers, created on 15 August 2015 by the initiative of young children of small coffee producers in the district of Lonya Grande (Amazonas). The administration is in charge of young professional leaders, who returned to their origins to get involved in the coffee activity. Since 2016 we have been exporting speciality coffees to the USA, EU and Canada. Our areas of influence are: Jaén, Chirinos, San José de Lourdes in Cajamarca and Lonya Grande in Amazonas.
