One sunny Sunday morning, Jérémy, the owner of the Basel based distillery Ale&Bread, was walking through Zurich on a hunt for a good cup of specialty coffee.
Little did he know then, that his search will end in a complete new product line for himself.
Minutes later he found himself sitting in miró Brauer, sipping on an espresso that matched his taste, in an environment that matched his vibe.
For a long time he has already been keen to produce a coffee liquor that offered more than what was already on the market at that time.
«Why not just ask miró for a collab?» — he thought to himself. And acted on it.
Today, he’s filling bottles of not only one product — first came the Licor de Café — but two already that were made of the miró Espresso Santa Rosa from Honduras. The newest creation of miró and Ale&Bread, the Spirito de Café, is bringing out flavours that one cannot find in any other existing coffee spirit yet, Jérémy says. He couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcome.
«It has very floral notes, and interestingly — while containing zero sugar — it reveals peculiar sweet aromas, especially in combination with tonic water.»

It seems like this is just the beginning, hearing how Jérémy raves about the collaboration with miró manufactura de café: «Honestly, I can imagine that we will have a long history on new joint products to come.»
